We love our animals and actively encourage
spaying or castrating any pet that is not used for breeding. We do not only talk the talk, we walk the walk. We have 2 castrated
cats (Bagheera and Gabriel), a castrated dog (Bear) and a spayed German Shephard (Storm).
To give you more of an idea of our family home we have
decided to tell you more about our entire family.
Gabriel (Our kennel name sake.....)
Gabriel is a white (yes all white, hearing and sighted)
Siamese cross Ragdoll castrated cat. He has long hair and is the most loving cat who thinks he is a dog!!
Gabriel is so sure that he is a dog that he has even been
taught to sit for his breakfast!! He comes to call and follows us down to the car and even on occassion goes for a drive in
the car, loose just like the dogs.
Gabriel is bigger than all the Chihuahua's and loves nothing
more than to play with Flux by ambushing her from under the bed and then running off for Flux to chase after him.
Gabriel is crate trained and as a kitten he slept each
night in a crate along with his best friend Bear.
As Gabriel honestly thinks he is a Chihuahua he has taken
the possition as the dominate pet in the house... if he takes his fancy to eat the dogs food they all move aside for him,
but ofcourse we don't often allow him to eat the Chihuahua's food.
Bagheera (Grumpy old man)
Bagheera is a moggy cross Berman castrated cat. Bagheera
is Black and the grumpiest cat on the planet. Bagheera has short hair.
Bagheera is not particularly taken by having the dog around
but tollerates them well. He makes sure that they don't think about coming close to him although he is becoming more friendly
and now allows Rogue to come up and sniff noses.
Bagheera is a typical grumpy moggy that uses the house
as a hotel and comes and goes just as and when he pleases.
Storm (The big Dog)
Storm is a long coated, German Shephard, spayed girl.
Storm is very very protective of the Chihuahua's and ensures
that no-one comes near them without our permission. Storm baby sits all the puppies and keeps a close eye that they
don't wonder off once they start to move about. She is extremely gentle taking great care to not to step on any of the
puppies.
Storm is the aunt of the pack...
Storm has a huge dislike of the postman and has been known
to savage the post as soon as the postman attempts to put it in the mail box.
Storm will not allow anyone into the house unless she
is introduced to the person and we tell her it is ok.
Bear (Marie's Baby boy)
Bear is our castrated Chihuahua. We kept Bear from Ice's
first litter as he is so perfect we just could not part with him to anyone....
After castration Bear has put on a little weight because
he loves sneaking around the corner to steal some puppy food... He is on a very strick diet of just Royal Cannin
Chihuahua food now and we are pleased to say he is starting to loose a little bit of weight...
Bear is a wonderfull uncle to all the puppies, he is the
dog that we put in with the puppies when we start to take mum away. He teaches them manners and looks after them so wonderfully.
Bear's temprament is everything that we thrive to achieve
in all our Chihuahua puppies. Anyone can come up to him and stroke him even if we are holding him. He is our ambasidor of
what wonderfull dogs Chihuahua's should all be like.
Bear is playfull and fun loving and enjoys nothing more
than playing catch with his squeeky ball or toy.
Here are some recent pictures of our babies....
